6th class became architects this week when working on area in maths! They took on the challenge of designing the downstairs floor plan of a house which had to measure 154m squared. Great collaboration and problem-solving! Oide Primary STEM 📏 📐

🔢Maths Challenge🔢 . . . We completed this Maths challenge in junior infants! 💪 We used our knowledge of number, pattern & relationships to solve what Table 4 and Table 5 might look like 💭 We even found out how many guests and tables are needed further down the line 👏

The Primary STEM team attended our Oide Schools' Support Service, Ireland professional learning event in Sligo this week, where the theme of ‘Supporting Curriculum Development in Ireland’ was explored with insights from NCCA, Department of Education & National Parents Council. #ProfessionalLearning
