Engine 16 was dispatched to a report of a trash fire under a bridge, but it turned out the fire was actually on the bridge itself. Construction is underway on the Pole Rd bridge. All westbound traffic on 240 at Pole Rd was temporarily shut down while we extinguished the fire.

Today marks 23 years since the day that changed America forever. We will always remember September 11, 2001, and the lives lost at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA. The bravery and sacrifice of so many will never be forgotten. #NeverForget #NYFD343
