It’s a WWII Memory Day in Ukraine.
A reminder that more Ukrainians died fighting Hitler than Americans, French & British combined. Ukrainians were second-largest ethnic group in the Soviet army. Including my two grand-uncles.

One died at 18 in Poland, the other at 23 in Austria.

On the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in WWII, we pay tribute to 🇺🇦 warriors who gave their lives to ensure that wars will never happen again.

But 'never again' has become 'again' since Russia unleashed the war against Ukraine.

How many more 'agains' can there be?

The hellscape of Russian 'liberation'.

These cities will never be built back and repopulated.

Russia just came and turned them into lifeless ruins so that it could pin its flag in the ashes and dust and declare 'yet another grandiose victory of Russian arms' in TV propaganda.…

⚡️Ukraine qualifies for Eurovision 2024 song contest finals.

With their song 'Teresa & Maria,' Ukraine's Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil qualified for the Eurovision finals in Sweden's Malmo, successfully passing the semi-finals on May 7.

Apparently, #Ukraine is the only one that made it to ALL #Eurovision finals since starting to participate. And won three times! Not bad.
