Just had a long old phone chat with my good pal Dennis Priestley and feel all the better for it. He’s in fine fettle, as they say in his neck of the woods. He’s preparing for a trip down to the Seniors darts where he’s part of the VIP team. Illness precludes my own attendance.

One of my best pals, David Mitchell, is 67 today. David helped me enormously with my book, “Soccer Satisfied”, which came into production, unfortunately, just as covid was striking. Nevertheless, it’s gone (and going) well, David, to whom I want to extend Birthday Wishes! John.

Back in 2018, in his home city of Townsville, Andrew Symonds joined our Fox Sports commentary team for the four-tournament series of the Queensland Darts Masters. It was a joy to have him with us for the three days and in his beautiful home.#RIPAndrew

The trouble with cancer is that it never comes uninvited but nor does it ever want to leave when one tries to give it every opportunity. Living with my family is making my life so much more bearable than would the case. That said, I so wish I could be relieved of of it! #cancer

💔 My dad, John Gwynne, is nearing the end of his life’s journey. We’ve been lovingly caring for him at our home in Denton for the past 8 weeks. Cancer has got the better of him & he’s lost the use of his legs, is catheterised and has been placed on ever stronger drugs. 1/2
