Reading these two books on the Protestant Reformation & its hard not to be sad 😢 The Protestants were awful….simply awful - upending 1500 yrs of church tradition, they were the 16th century version of modern vandals & rioters, hell bent on forcing progressivism on society

It’s hard to fathom how nuts the Protestant Reformation was Protestants banned freedom of speech, even in prayer 😢 Thy forcibly shut down 850 religious centers/libraries in England alone Burned books, arrested old women for praying the Rosary Protestants were the “woke mob”

Prior to the council of Trent, Roman Catholic Churches had “rood screens” just as Eastern Orthodox churches still have them (Iconostasis) Oddly, Trent did not ban them . A king took the initiative to remove them & others followed Would u be in favor of having them again ?

In my conversation w/ the Jehovah’s Witness y’day he condemned any Christian’s who “pray the psalms” & he said the Jews were condemned by Jesus for praying the psalms & other “repetitious prayers” He said he was ex-Catholic & learned tht praying “the Our Father” was sinful

Author of “Lord You’re Beautiful” —Keith Green believed it was disingenuous to charge people money to hear him sing “worship songs” In our day Christian laity are charging people money on social media to answer “super chat questions” about the Bible What am I missing? Greek

Ever reflect on the times you gave strangers or acquaintances a bad impression of Christianity? I’ve realized I need to repent for all the times I failed in my witness, and I’ve been asking God to have mercy on those I let down Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy

Reading Holy Scripture is a blessed thing, memorize the Psalms, apply Solomon’s wisdom to your daily life —You are fallible, if your study of scripture isn’t guided by the historic church & ordained clergy, then you likely have grotesquely wrong views of scripture

Yesterday after Liturgy talked w/ a young couple from Ukraine, they just moved to my city & said they came here “to escape the war” Our congregation is 30% Russian Ya know what we don’t do on Sunday; talk about politics We worship God together; no matter our differences

Many Christians have lost touch with holy water, a vital element of faith, due to modern skepticism & Enlightenment philosophy invading their churches But holy water is real & it works Both the Old and New Testaments show God using physical means to reveal His invisible power

On Easter Sunday 1969, the Nat’l Organization of Women had a dozen Catholic women approach the altar without veils The priest refused them the Eucharist, sparking nationwide controversy. Within years, this single protest changed veiling practices in all Western churches
