Save the date. Association of Surgeons of Uganda (ASOU) will offer 12,000 free consultations and operate on 2500 people in Ankole Sub-region from 22nd - 28th September 2024. Surgery will be conducted at 26 Health Centres and Hospitals in 12 districts.

Dr. Honorine Nizeyimana Honorine Nizeyimana presented an abstract about a new online tool "Eyeonic" that is aimed at solving challenges of access to automated visual field machines in low resource settings. This is a timely intervention that will improve diagnosis of glaucoma. Cheers
While at the 11th COECSA congress, Dr. Moses Owiny @MOwiny9 a resident at Mbarara University presented an abstract about raised intraocular pressure (IOP) in communities. He recommended community based IOP screening as an effective method of early identification and glaucoma prevention
