Solidarity with Rail Conference workers locked out by CN & CP. These companies are risking the safety of workers & communities, making our supply chain vulnerable to derailments & accidents. Workers deserve safe work. The employers must get back to the table & bargain a fair deal.

Good deals are reached at the bargaining table. Today’s decision undermines workers’ right to collective bargaining. It tells corporations everywhere that if they just drag their heels long enough, the government will help them avoid bargaining with their workers.

The evidence is clear - safe injection sites saved 7,400 lives last year. 1,600 died by suicide and 411 in highway accidents. The health care system must make decisions based on evidence. This is pandering to the PC base at the expense of people struggling with addiction.

This Labour Day, we honour the incredible strides we’ve made as union activists while acknowledging the challenges ahead. From confronting corporate greed to pioneering the first agricultural unions, our relentless determination has proven that we are resilient and powerful.

While some employers recognize the importance and contributions of their workers others like Université d'Ottawa | University of Ottawa Jacques Frémont seemingly care little. Any support towards the asks of IUOE Local 772 would be appreciated as Local announces strike of power plant engineers University of Ottawa.

With thanks to all those who participated in today's Ottawa Labour Day March and Picnic. Numerous union locals and some community groups. We served up 2500 hot dogs, 2400 drinks, 1200 corn on the cob, 15 large watermelons. Big shout out to all the volunteers. #LabourDay2024

We're fighting for a fairer future so workers like Esther don’t have to struggle to make it halfway through the month. It's time for real change—because everyone deserves to thrive, not just survive. Text WORKERS to 55255 to get involved.

If in downtown Ottawa whether living, visiting or working we encourage everyone, if they so choose, to stop in, have a meal, shop, at some of the many fine businesses located there. #ThankYou
