@paulscriven is absolutely right to question automatic seats for Anglican bishops in the Lords. A privileged political position for one denomination of one religion has no place in a 21st century democracy.

Many good reasons exist to justify why in our plural society we should have no established church and be a secular country. This is indicative of why the The Church of England needs to be disestablished and its special privileges and powers stripped. bbc.com/news/articles/…
