In an increasingly modern world, hunger has been ironically rising and famines are getting more intense. Last year, around 821 million people -- 11% of the global population -- suffered hunger. Most of them are farmers and food producers #hunger #ZeroHunger #WorldFoodDay

An estimated 124 million people were under crisis level hunger last year -- 11% higher than 2016 and a 35% jump from 2015. Rural peoples and food producers constitute 90% of those in acute hunger and 80% of those in chronic hunger. #WorldHungerDay
