The stunning Orpheus Mosaic within the sacarium of the Littlecote Roman Villa. The mosaic was discovered in 1728 and restored in 1979. Once a family villa it became a ceremonial complex in around AD360 to Orpheus and Dionysus

During dry periods the remains of the Roman bridge which took over the North Tyne are visible with some blocks still showing the clamp holes which held the structure together. The bridge was rebuilt several times during the life of the wall

The church of John the Baptist at Inglesham has its origins back in the Saxon period and was given by King John in 1205 to the monks of Beaulieu, it has remained almost unchanged since the 16th century and is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust
