Sad and disappointed that our MP for Copeland Trudy Harrison is on this list especially as she isn’t standing in the next election. See Guy Shrubsole thread for the implications of the latest #AttackOnNature

Beech woods, in Cumbria a favoured habitat of wood warbler and open scrub, regen for tree pipit. Both sp. displaying well this morning. So wonderful but easy to forget that both species are in trouble and on the red list.

Tonight somewhere out there are five cells with sleepless people in them . Elsewhere there are empty beds , empty homes and broken hearts . Fear and tears . Anger and confusion . A bunch of good people whose lives have just been smashed by injustice . We hold you in our dreams .

Our small community nursery is bouncing with tree growth. #Borrowdale Various montane willow, wild apple, alder, birch, wych elm, rock whitebeam. It’s a good feeling, even better when planted out.
