Great to walk round our new Children’s Emergency Unit this morning- it’s looking amazing! Behind us are our two high acuity bays for more unwell children.

While I don’t wish to ignore the poor experiences adults have faced in our emergency care system (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39084692/) I’m grateful that it’s now recognised children’s experiences have been steadily declining and we need to re-focus & re-prioritise. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
