For nine months the press has deliberately misrepresented peaceful marches for palestine as hate marches, particularly painting muslims as terrorist sympathisers. That will have also fed into what is happening now.

What we are witnessing in England is a mixture of a far-right racist riot, pogrom and terrorist insurgency. It has been whipped up by our media and political elites for decades. Some of those decrying this horror played their part in making it happen.

Shame on everyone who has normalised racism over the last few decades. The Tories have always been brazen with their prejudices but I have special ire for those that went along with it for self gain, attention seeking or just plain larks.

After jailing people for 5 YEARS for “discussing” a peaceful climate change protest I hope the English court system is prepared to adequately deal with murderous mobs of racist terrorists. If there’s not enough room in the jails might I suggest sending them on planes to Rwanda?

Those believing far right extremism can be defeated by the justice system are, at best, delusional. This is a political problem. A racist British Establishment which delights in finding scapegoats for problems it causes is to blame. They did this. This is on them.
