Physical Education is such a powerful influence on how young people experience sport that can last into adulthood.

Could a โ€˜rights respectingโ€™ approach hold some answers?

This chimes powerfully with the โฆplaytheirwayโฉ purpose. drowningintheshallow.wordpress.com/2024/04/14/a-fโ€ฆ

Lots of brilliant resources in this link for sports coaches to engage with the views of the children they work with. So important to keep all children in the sports that they love .

๐Ÿ’ฌ It can be hard for young people to tell their coaches how they really feel.

๐Ÿคฉ That's why we adapted this feedback form from Laura Lundy - it's a great place to start to open up a two way conversation with the children.

'I just wasn't having fun anymore so I dropped out. But I think about it all the time'

One of the young people at the London Youth Games conference shared this with us earlier this week... it's a story that's far too common.

Let's change that story: bit.ly/3KrLIp2

A lot of the time, coaches do get taken for granted. But without the coach, there is no football!

โ€ขNo physical and mental benefits for players.

โ€ขNo learning to become a better player and person.

โ€ขNo great experiences or memories.

And most coaches are doing it for free!
