A Q-cast source says 6-7 G Nick Farrar, a former 4-star HS recruit, is transferring from D1 UNCW to D3 Guilford. Farrar went to D1 NC State out of HS...then to D1 Charleston, before landing at D1 UNCW. Huge add for Guilford. uncwsports.com/sports/mens-ba… #d3hoops

Updated NCAA Division III bracketing principles will allow for the top 8 seeds (as ranked by NPI) to be "protected" such that all eight could advance to the quarterfinals in tournaments with more than 32 teams. Top 4 seeds will be protected in tournaments of 32 or fewer. #d3hoops

No. 1-4 will always be the 1-seeds, and 5-8 the 2-seeds, but they will not necessarily be seeded 1-8 (eg. we could get a 1 v. 5 QF pairing) I do not read this as a guarantee these seeds (or any seeds) will host (any round). Geography still exists I like this a lot for #d3hoops!
