When I was covering India and tech for American readers, I used to be frustrated about how hard it was for stories from the country to break into the US news cycle. Only now with some distance do I realize how irrelevant India’s noisy news cycle is outside that country,

I just used the word "prepone" - it's the opposite of "postpone" in India - for the first time. I think it's a handy word worth adopting globally.

I don't have my Indian mobile number anymore and half my life has stopped because every single thing there needs a goddamn OTP SMSed to your phone.
