Your regular reminder that this advocate for ethnic cleansing and war crimes is employed by the Spectator and treated as a respectable commentator by the Telegraph/Times - and praised by leading Conservative politicians. Truly a stain on our politics, media and public life.

Allotment holders should be proud of the spaces they create across the city which are often beautiful as well as productive. It was great to attend the YACIO annual awards ceremony, thanks all! #York #Allotments

Last Friday @Ofgem announced the price cap for October to December 2024. Our figures show that an additional 400,000 households will fall into #FuelPoverty as the weather gets colder.

There's good news and not-so-good news when it comes to projected income growth. Have a look at our Living Standards Outlook 2024 to see what the current forecasts suggest. ā¬‡ļø buff.ly/3X0FYrP

A short article by ā¦Professor ā¦Jonathan Portesā© which is the most level-headed and practical thing Iā€™ve ever read about the UK and immigration. Do have a read, itā€™s a massive breath of fresh air. Letā€™s hope the new Home Office team have read it. theguardian.com/books/article/ā€¦

Thatcher suspended arms sales to Israel in 1982, Blair did the same in 2002. UK Government quite right to do so now & arguably should have done months ago. Unlike the previous one, this Government believes in upholding international law.

Totally disingenuous of otherwise sensible Andrew Mitchell to criticise Govt for suspending some arms sales to Israel #wato. He would be receiving same legal advice following review he started. Would he have ignored it? Opposition for oppositionā€™s sake wonā€™t aid Tory recovery.

Schoolā€™s back, Parliamentā€™s back, and weā€™re back. Announcing the record-breaking results of our renewables auction. 131 projects powering 11 million homes with cheap homegrown energy This Government is getting on with the job of making Britain a clean energy superpower.

Part of the problem with winter fuel payments is the chronic underclaiming of Pension Credit, a key benefit that now triggers entitlement. It's thought 880,000 due it won't get it, and they're the poorest pensioners. I doubt the awareness raising campaign can have much impact

Right now, absolute and relative poverty are both heading in the wrong direction šŸ“ˆ If the economic forecasts and policies inherited by the new Gov remained unchanged, 1.5 million more people, including 400,000 children, would be in relative poverty by the end of the Parliament

Robert Jenrick illegally rushed through planning permission to try help a billionaire avoid Ā£45m in property tax. But he is sick of seeing Asylum Seekers break the law. Because thatā€™s only for him and his rich buddies.

Why is University of York targeting applied Departments for redundancies - Health Sciences, Social Policy, Social Work, Education. Their impact on society and their international reputation seem to be ignored. York seeks to be a University for the Public Good.
