We don’t like the (inherently neutral) word “Slavic” because russians use to this to generalize big group of people under one culture AND then implicitly say “russian = slavic thus slavic = russian” & that’s how people start using it interchangeably, erasing independent cultures

To all the russians saying, “Go back to Mongolia”: as a Crimean Tatar, I have 0% Mongolian DNA. It means that my ancestors lived in Crimea before the Mongol invasion. It contradicts the russian historiography that claims Crimean Tatars arrived in Crimea with the Mongols.

I'd argue it's on par withRussia's baseless claim that Kyiv-Rus is THEIR legacy. They want what is not theirs and have zero moral qualms stealing the history of others to justify their brutality, imperialism, wars, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

Muscovy stole the name “Rus’” from Kyivan Rus’ and tried to steal Kyivan/Ukrainian history, too. For russia to BE, for russia to GO ON, it desperately needs the BIG LIE to become true. So russia lashes out. It tries and tries again to erase Ukraine 🇺🇦 from the map. 5/10
