Thanks to Liam Fox MP for clarifying ย his amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill clause to make it even more explicit about the intention. As stated before, this clause is to value people with Down syndrome equally at all times.

Discrimination starts before birth for people with #DownSyndrome & can set a life-long precedent. Given advances in medical science itโs time to reconsider outdated, discriminatory laws.Penny Mordaunt Stephen Morgan MP Caroline Dinenage will you be voting @liamfox's amendment #NC34 ?

We are so close to correcting a fundamental wrong that will change lives forever - please get behind Liam Fox MP amendment #NC34 - it is all about equality! Together we can make the world a bit more inclusive! National Down Syndrome Policy Group Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association ๐ Rachael Ross MBE Matt Dathan BBC News (UK)
Sir Liam Fox MP MP is doing great work to stop discrimination against those with #Downsyndrome , I encourage all disability charities to get behind this endeavour for legal equality before birth #TimeToMoveOn
We stand for change in a world where twins can share everything but equality. After 24 weeks, both twins should have equal protection. But if one twin has Down syndrome, they're not given the same rights. This is discrimination.
It's time for the law to recognise #EqualityAt24 .
What a moment in history - the amendment will only create the change we have highlighted. No other rights are affected. It is time for #EqualityAt24 Liam Fox MP
