Based rollups are closely aligned with Ethereum. • Eth validators directly sequence L2 transactions into L1 blocks • L2s inherit Ethereum-level security and decentralization This unlocks composability between L1 and L2, although it presents some challenges 👇🧵

Despite these benefits, based rollups can still be risky and costly, potentially hindering their adoption. Radius and RISE Chain are working together address these challenges: censorship & harmful MEV, and sequencing costs.

Based sequencing can expose users to risks if not properly addressed: • Censorship risks: L1 validators might exclude certain L2 transactions • MEV exploitation: The direct connection to L1 sequencing opens doors to harmful practices like frontrunning

Our answer? An encrypted mempool solution that: • Prevents unfair transaction ordering or exclusion by L1 validators • Creates a secure, fair environment while harnessing Ethereum's infrastructure
