Why didn’t anyone tell me as a child I could get a job making finger lickin’ good ferret meals? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Six weeks worth of Radley Raw Meat Stew! Chicken thighs, lamb liver, lamb heart and pork liver. Only the best for Countryside Centre @ Radley College ferrets 😋

Sheep market day 🐑. Four small Portland ewes away. Rather hope they are purchased to become breeding ewes somewhere, with a long life ahead. Failing that, I guess they’ll make a tasty roast or two.

Some nice little nature restoration projects springing up around Radley College as part of their ambitious environmental sustainability strategy. Great to see these wildflower margins on the edges of the playing fields & golf course. Small stuff for us but huge benefit for 🐝🦋🐜

Nature friendly farming - balancing the competing requirements of food production and environmental sustainability - is surely the only way ahead. We all have a part to play. theguardian.com/environment/ar…

We need to plant many more native trees in urban spaces, and better protect and value existing ones. This helps nature and wildlife. It's #ClimateAction. It reduces floods, pollution and urban heating. And it improves our lives. More: bit.ly/2eMCYds Via The Nature Conservancy

Congratulations to our 6.2 boys on their excellent A-Level results today. 64% of grades were an A or an A*. Grades do not define our boys or the College, but they celebrate and reward many years of dedicated hard work. They should all feel very proud today. We wish them well as

The glamour and the glitz of keeping sheep! 🐑 Latex gloves, faecal samples and worm counts. Next time you meet a sheep farmer / shepherd / shepherdess…perhaps consider thanking them for what they do. I suspect there are easier ways to make a living. #Farming #FoodSecurity

Because bed time can wait (indefinitely) when there’s harvesting to watch! Lovely to see Hugo & Tattie F making a late appearance at the Countryside Centre. 🚜

A trailer full of mischief! Welcome to our ten little Herdwick store lambs. Cute as a box of frogs. Wild as foxes. Tasty as, erm, tasty things. Sad but true. No naming these young boys, but gosh they’re going to be very cherished and looked after during their short lives ❤️

Quietly curious whether this 🐝 nest project contains wild bumble 🐝 eggs, and if so when they’ll hatch. Looks like something is nesting in here. If it works this season, we’ll be rolling these home made bee nests out across Radley Campus next year. 💚

Rubbish photo…but rather heartwarming to see that David (our lonely Peacock) has buddied up with a wild heron this week. Not sure if it’s a love thing…or a territorial dispute, but the romantic in me assumes the former ❤️. There’s a book in this, I reckon!
