A potential way to generate training data for 3D Stardist is to first apply a Stardist model in 2d, then connect in 3D. I made a video about this, and I'm happy to answer related questions on the Image.sc forum youtube.com/watch?v=yjVSd5…

I made a new version of Fiji's Script Editor that supports #AIassisted macro coding using Anthropic's #claude and OpenAI's #GPT. Read more about how you can try it out: forum.image.sc/t/ai-assisted-…

Hi, I’m David Brückner David Brückner. I’ll take you through how cells in a tissue can use information distributed by biochemical gradients to make decisions, and how we can measure such positional information. x.com/epimechfc/stat…

It took me SEVEN years to figure out that you can save a ggplot as a vectorized .svg file ggsave("file.svg"). The svg file can be opened on powerpoint and it will be completely vectorized, even text are still recognized as text boxes! No more recreating plots on illustrator!!!!!

ChatGPT is a game changer for me. Some years ago, I started learning programming for fun with the “simple” ImageJ macro language, by dissecting other people’s scripts (mostly jeromemutterer’s) and through trial and error. I loved it, and it became a real addiction! (1/7)

Is deep learning segmentation repeatable? This thread by Ian C is interesting (not a thread at all to pick on Cellpose, which is a great method, more just to discuss careful use of Cellpose). forum.image.sc/t/cellpose-gpu…

Cytoskeleton shapes tissues during development. What signaling drives these changes? I'm Nimesh Chahare and let's explore FGF signaling's crucial role with examples. Trust me, you need to know this!

Why numbers are sometimes better than words. What people think you say when you say “little chance,” “probably not,” or “highly likely.”

#Scitwitter hive mind - what's your advice for (inexpensive or free) #LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software? We used Quartzy back at UCL, but we are looking for alternatives. Any tips and tricks? Anything that allows us to keep track of our reagents+kit
