In our SunBeams group young children Age 3-4 can learn and talk about their feelings and why their inside hurts. They will meet other young children going through the same feelings. They will learn that there is no right or wrong feelings, feelings just are, they are a part of us

Young people tend to grieve in private - they need emotional space to deal with their grief and to feel safe in that space. Our Spectrum programme supports Young People aged 12-18 using resources to help them understand their feelings and give them strategies to cope

Children need to know that everyone has feelings. There are no right and wrong feelings, they are a natural part of our lives. We provide a safe setting in school in which children and young people can talk about their feelings with peers who are experiencing similar situations

In our SunRise program package we try to give every grieving individual with learning disability the best chance to understand, reflect upon and contemplate and resolve their grief. We don’t want to leave anyone behind in a frightening world of confusion and uncertainty

‘Puddle jumping’ describes the way children move in and out of grief, one moment they may be very upset, the next seem perfectly fine, it’s important we recognise this so we can support them
