Our work building de novo 3D model sets for SARS-CoV-2 RNA elements is now in Nucleic Acids Res - academic.oup.com/nar/advance-ar…. Updates include consensus secondary structures using data from our group and others, and 10x more compute from @opensciencegrid. Model sets: github.com/DasLab/FARFAR2…
Excited to share the inaugural lab paper. Thanks to George E. Ghanim Das Lab Ramya Rangan and Twitter-less Marike, Adam and Kathy, also The Nogales Lab. We not only obtained an atomic structure of human telomerase but also discovered histones bound to telomerase RNA.
Excited to see our high resolution #cryoEM structures of the full-length Tetrahymena ribozyme published today! Wonderful to start getting a close look at this paradigmatic RNA-only enzyme. Wah Chiu Kalli Kappel Kaiming Zhang chiulab stanford SuLab nature.com/articles/s4158…
Out today in Science Magazine - our work in collaboration with Dror Lab on ARES: a geometric deep learning algorithm that can identify accurate 3D RNA structures: science.sciencemag.org/content/373/65…. Congrats to lead authors Raphael Townshend Andrew Watkins and Stephan Eismann!
The cryo-EM reconstructions of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) virions reported by the The Zhou Lab reveal host tRNAs associated with the virion’s capsid-bound tegument protein. go.nature.com/3AybcKo
Excited to see this preprint out and very thankful to work with and learn from Manny Ares 🥑 ghetto biologist Phillip Pham Das Lab !!
📣We’re hiring! 📣 We have openings for two Life Science Technicians to study RNA structures and their involvement in splicing and RNA transport. Recent grads please apply! Check out the job postings here: careersearch.stanford.edu/jobs/life-scie… careersearch.stanford.edu/jobs/life-scie… #RNA
Last week I successfully defended my PhD!! It was fun talking about all things RNA structure with colleagues, friends, and family. Thanks to everyone in Das Lab, Rhiju, Manny Ares 🥑, Puglisi Labs, Barna Lab, Nicole M Martinez, and everyone else who made this possible! #PhDone 🎉🎉
Check out our work on uncovering structural heterogeneity from cryo-ET data! It was so fun working with and learning from Ellen Zhong, Abhay Kotecha, and other co-authors on this project!
🗣️wahoo!!! my doctoral work is out online in Cell: authors.elsevier.com/c/1ie1VL7PXqPm4!! couldn't have done it without my two wonderful labs and co-advisors Stanley Qi Lab & Mackall Lab we developed a new RNA-targeting CRISPR platform (MEGA) to engineer better T cell therapies...🧵
cryoDRGN-ET is a deep generative neural network-based method for heterogeneous reconstruction of cryo-ET subtomograms that can capture both conformational and compositional heterogeneity. Ramya Rangan Ryan Feathers Abhay Kotecha Ellen Zhong nature.com/articles/s4159…
CryoDRGN-ET❄️🐉 is published in Nature Methods! We combine neural fields and generative modeling to reveal the structural heterogeneity of protein complexes *in situ*! So excited to see this out, and huge congrats to Ramya Rangan, Ryan Feathers and team! nature.com/articles/s4159…
