Just treated myself to some greengage plums from Andy’s Orchard. Certainly the most perfect plum and arguably in the Top Three of stone fruits.

Twitterati, I am having great difficulty finding someone in the Bay Area with a license to pack specialty condiments, viz. Cougna. There’s apparently an issue with including high pH bits such as hazelnuts. The fruit is at the door!

In light of the (fairly inevitable) heat wave, making some last minute (ok, last days) adjustments in the picking program for the Pinot. When grapes are already fairly water stressed, sugars have a tendency to really jump.
