A rattlesnake on the back patio sent Marissa to Scottsdale. The home had some 'snake fencing' that was installed by the local pest control guy, which was too short, used the wrong size mesh, and left the gates wide open – not effective.

Not a post I ever wanted to make, but the answer to the most common question that I get: yes, last year I was bitten by a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. Here's the story of the mistake that I made and what happened.

This little Coachwhip was in the locker room at the Papago Sports Complex. Thankfully she was able to use a hose to convince the little guy to come out of hiding under the lockers.

A defensive Blacktailed Rattlesnake from southeastern Arizona. This stance is not a sign of aggression, but a simple request: 'don't come near, I will defend myself'.

This Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was found hanging out by the pool at a community center. A small crowd had gathered by the time Marissa got to Peoria to capture it.

A rattlesnake was found trying hard to get into this backyard. Thankfully, we'd installed Rattlesnake Fencing there, and it had to keep on going.

Brandon went to Mesa to capture this beast of a Sonoran Gophersnake! This big snake has had a lot of success with roof rats over the years. He was careful to relocate it so that it can continue doing that.

Josef from our Prescott-area relocation line found this Blacktailed Rattlesnake cruising around an outdoor grill island. The structures often have grease under them that attracts rodents, and in turn, attracts rattlesnakes.

A few Arizona Black Rattlesnakes basking under partial cover outside their den a couple of years ago. In most cases, if a situation like this is disturbed, they'll silently slip away to cover rather than rattle.
