This thread is one more example of how we need to remember that people will turn on not only strangers but friends for their own perceived self-interest. Don’t look at history and other countries and ask how people could let something happen. It can always happen here. And does.

Suggesting this when politicians want to get rid of faculty who teach about race and gender, and will likely soon be coming for all kinds of scholars who teach about politically inconvenient topics like, say, climate change and public health is an interesting choice.

Interesting thread in terms of what people see as poor or working class (working class is obviously not always poor). I think the class divide plot is much more common in terms of representing working class people. Fallen Leaves is an interesting counter (and not U.S.)
