Paul-Erik Veel Margaret Waddell I think this is generally correct. However; 1: there are various kinds of privacy harms; I would highly recommend Danielle Citron, Daniel J. Solove & Ryan Calo’s papers on this topic. 2: a compensable harm may be immeasurable, in which case nominal and symbolic damages can be awarded.
