This reveals the mechanism of tRNA 3' processing in the nucleus and mitochondria, shows that RNase Z is a multi-subunit complex in mitos in which protein-protein replace protein-RNA interactions, and supports that TRMT10C-SDR5C1 is a general mito tRNA processing platform.
