Today we celebrate the unions that built our communities and the generations of hardworking Americans who have worked tirelessly to make our lives better. I’m wishing everyone a safe and happy Labor Day as we celebrate the progress that’s been made!

Today we celebrate the grit and resilience of America’s workers and their families. The historic victories secured by the heroes of organized labor have changed our country for the better. Thank you to every worker.

The RI Labor History Society commemorated the 1934 Saylesville Massacre in Lincoln and Central Falls, playing a key role in the textile strikes and our state’s history. As a child of an immigrant union worker, I want to thank all of the union members for your hard work.
