In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers have decided to postpone this year's RiboWest. The safety of our registrants is our highest priority. This decision aligns with the BC Public Health Act, which discourages large gatherings & promotes social distancing.

Great way to start Ribowest with a wonderful talk from keynote speaker Micheal Levin, discussing his exciting work about multiple sclerosis! Great discussions tonight, exciting start for next 3 days.

Started the first full day of Ribowest with a welcome from Lheidil T’enneh elder Darlene McIntosh, UNBC’s President Geoff Payne, and a fascinating talk from Tracy Johnson. Dr. Johnson’s talk about splicing and introns was a great way to commence and RNA conference.

The last 2 days of ribowest! We had a wonderful equality and diversity panel on Monday sprouting engaging discussions regarding academic hiring. Tuesday afternoon we finished with a spectacular talk from Karrisa Sanbonmatsu discussing her brilliant work. Thanks too all!
