In our latest work we simulate a digital twin of the first eROSITA all sky survey. This is key to study the detection of clusters and AGN, and charachterize our samples of extragalactic sources. You can read the full article on arxiv.org/abs/2207.09242

I had a wonderful time during my PhD at @MPE_Garching! Many thanks to @KirpalNandra, Esra Bulbul and everyone else in the high energy group. Looking forward to keep working on galaxy clusters observed by eROSITA for the next few months!

And that's a wrap for the 20th (!) eROSITA Consortium meeting at @MPE_Garching. A week of amazing new science results and lively discussions. Such a privilege to work for this diverse group of talented young (and not-so-young-anymore) astronomers!

Some exciting news - it’s new paper day! arxiv.org/abs/2306.00961 This paper describes all the work I’ve been doing in my PhD @MPE_Garching studying supermassive black holes with eROSITA We used X-ray + optical data from SDSS/SDSS-V/Black Hole Mapper to learn more! Thread here:

aaaand it is alive ... A catalog of 900K X-ray sources is released today. Only two weeks remain until cluster and supercluster catalogs are released, along with groundbreaking results on cosmology, S8 tension, dark energy, the growth of structure, and general relativity 😍
