I know those closely involved in Mayor Jamie Driscoll’s campaign will be hurting a bit right now, but they should be very proud. It was always going to be tough, but 126,652 votes for a candidate with no political machine behind them is very respectable & part of a (re)building of the left.

I was pleased to join the ceasefire march in London last Saturday. Once again a huge turnout. Peaceful Londoners demanding peace and justice for the Palestinian people.

A hung Parliament with enough MPs to lock out the Tories would be a great result for the country.

The Tories would be out, Keir Starmer wouldn’t have a mandate to pursue these bad policies, and Socialist Campaign Group/Green MPs can effectively lobby for progressive policies.
