The first few years of Foxtrot had one of the greatest VC-funded consumer subsidies I’ve ever experienced. Free drip coffee. $1 espresso drinks. Grilled chicken and other staples that were half the price of any grocery store. Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt

Seems like half of folks say that modern industrial policy won’t create very many jobs because manufacturing is so automated now, and the other half of folks say that US wages are so high compared to our global peers that we’ll have a problem bringing back manufacturing jobs. Hm.
