The RCPD is proud to announce Cpl. Andreas Floros as Officer of the Month for July 2024. Cpl. Floros was honored for his investigative work and arrest of a robbery suspect. The suspect Cpl. Floros arrested was also wanted for an attempted murder in PG County. Congratulations!

Mark your calendars! The RCPD will host the annual open house event at the police department on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The free event will include police vehicle displays, food, McGruff the crime dog, a moon bounce, and more.

All the traffic signals on Veirs Mill Rd. in the City of Rockville are not operational. Police officers are currently at the intersections directing traffic. Pepco is aware of the outage; however, there is no timeframe as to when the repairs will be made. Use caution.

MISSING PERSON ALERT: The Rockville City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Marta Begis of Rockville. Marta was last seen on Glenora Lane in the early hours of September 1, 2024.
