Final day #EPSUCongress24 sadly end of my EPSU journey but huge plans to fight for our 8 million members. Proud to have proposed Executive Motion on Israel - Palestine. Huge majority for #CeasfireNow, Israeli withdrawal & end to EU trade with illegal settlements. EPSU

With UNICEF Ireland's Peter Power, Fórsa trade union's Mehak Dugal and Treasurer Michael Smyth this afternoon to present a cheque from our members and branches in aid of the #Gaza appeal. This is in addition to the donation of €100k that the union made late last year.

Something so satisfying about this man’s refusal to take the bait with the usual leading questions on migration. Just calmly & stubbornly fair-minded, straightforward, no nonsense answers in a perfect Wexford accent right in the middle of the town. 10/10

Many of these "patriots" have a history of domestic violence. One in four women in Ireland who have been in a relationship have been abused by a current or former partner. 55% were killed by a partner or ex NOT by refugees, asylum seekers or international protection applicants
