Had the loveliest day yesterday with our care-experienced advisors ๐Ÿฅฐ my heart is so full! They are each so inspiring and remind us why we are doing this research, and always centre us back to the most important messages that we need to share! So grateful for all their support ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Devastating report on the scale and impact of child poverty. Urgent action following an evidence based approach is vital as spelled out very clearly here- n8research.org.uk/media/CoTN_Povโ€ฆ

I'm reposting this, as the deadline has been extended to next Monday, 15th April. The ICO have so far had almost 200 completed responses. They want to improve the experience for care leavers accessing their care files. This is the best chance we have to influence their guidance.

If you are care experienced and working in academia, or would like to be in the future, this article is invaluable. In particular, the interviews with care experienced academics are a pot of gold that the article authors make good use of.

The 1st paper from the ADaPT project is out now ๐Ÿ“ Iโ€™m so grateful to all of our participating services for sharing their experiences of implementing trauma-focused CBT with care-experienced young people. We hope sharing this learning will impact practice - please share widely!

So proud of this project - weโ€™ve worked hard to share our key messages in as many formats as possible to help get a wider reach ๐Ÿ‘€ check out our blog post too!

Most kids in care in England cannot access direct psychotherapy (let alone tf-CBT) due to service set-up. This is a solvable problem! - Joined-up working btw social care & CAMHS - Priority access to CAMHS - Prioritise high quality assessment Already good examples out there

A perfect symposium organised by R Meiser-Stedman dedicated to the life and work of Prof Bill Yule. Fittingly, hearing from the next generation of child trauma and PTSD researchers, looking at needs across different methods and contexts. BABCP #BABCP2014
