📣To early career researchers, do not miss this funding opportunity within our CLEANFOREST COST Action. Deadline to apply is 31st January. More details👇👇👇
Interested in a fully-funded #PhD position to understand how tropical mountain forests respond to warming? Check out this new position at Göteborgs universitet / University of Gothenburg Field sites in Rwanda and Peru web103.reachmee.com/ext/I005/1035/…
Today at the @Tropical Ecology, we had nice presentations from Camille Ziegler on the plasticity of hydraulic traits, Olivier Jean Leonce Manzi on the acclimation of the photosynthetic heat tolerance and Göran Wallin on the warming responses of growth and mortality in montane tropical trees.
📢 Calling all African researchers! The 2024/25 #AfOxVisitingFellowship at University of Oxford is open for applications. Develop new collaborations and grow your networks. 🌍 Open to all disciplines! Apply now! ow.ly/ssaa50QGGve #ResearchOpportunity
Feel free to join tomorrow's CoEB online seminar where I will present some of our recent work on tree hydraulics of montane rainforest species Rwanda :) Rwanda TREE INRAE umr biogeco Phénobois
I will soon advertise a fully funded #PhD position Göteborgs universitet / University of Gothenburg using #EnMAP #hyperspectral data for drought and biodiversity studies in the Swedish alpine area. If you are at #EGU24, let me know if you are interested! I'm here too. 🛰🏔

Newly published paper from Rwanda TREE in Physiologia Plantarum, where our results suggest a shift towards more ES trees in tropical rainforest under climate warming, as long as drought deciduousness can secure ES species' survival under drier conditions. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/pp…
I'm glad to be at the #npnextgen at Duke University presenting my research about #PHT acclimation in tropical trees Rwanda TREE New Phytologist
In partnership with CIFOR-ICRAF, @IPRC_KITABI officially launched a short course training on Design and Application of resilient Landscape Restoration Interventions for Bachelor of Technology in Applied Forestry and Wildlife & Landscape Management students.
Please check this newly published paper from our PhD student Olivier Jean Leonce Manzi indicating that Canopy temperatures strongly overestimate leaf thermal safety margins of tropical trees. nph.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/np…
