One of the comments that we often hear from students is how much they like being treated like adults at college. As well as helping students to achieve academic success, we strive to cultivate their independence as they transition into adulthood.

We love hearing where students are going onto next. Liam and Neal are both going to study Maths at Durham University, Annabel is going to Salford University to study Diagnostic Radiography, and Dianthe will be studying Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University

More fantastic destinations. Finn is going to Newcastle University to study Sociology, Luke will be going to Durham University to study Chemistry, Grace is going to Northumbria University to study Business & Marketing, and Poppy will be studying Theoretical Physics at Sheffield

Connor is heading to Liverpool to study Physics & Astrophysics, Shuaib is going to Portsmouth to study Film Production, Paddy will be studying Marketing at York University, and Logan is going to Sheffield University to study Computer Science

Chanelle, Daisy, Sammy & Esme all took the T Level in Education & Childcare and are going to work in nurseries. Emily is heading to York St John to study TV & Film Production, and Lily is also going to York St John and will be studying Criminology.

This September we are opening "The Quad", a dedicated area for students to socialise and unwind between lessons. This previously unused outdoor space has been transformed into an indoor area to give students more space in college. s6f.org.uk/enrolment

Matt took A Levels in Geography, Maths and Physics and now works as a Senior Land Specialist. "To come to college and be treated as an adult and an equal by the teachers was a massive step up from school and really helps to start adjusting you to the real world."

With the dull and drizzly weather you'd be forgiven for thinking we were deep into winter rather than just a week into the first term. Luckily some of our music students were on hand this lunchtime to bring some sunshine into the Hub with a music performance 🎶
