I have been told to stop stealing muffins from the bakery. Unfortunately, it’s the only way to keep my lucrative muffin stand in business. Everyone is fine with this.

I listen because they have been friends for a long time. And because the years of trauma produced parts of me that doubt I really see what's going on. I try and work with those parts but I'm never sure if I'm seeing things accurately. So I seek outside input.

Taking things personally is a form of control. We control because of fear and fear is birthed in us through adults who have not yet grown up and unpacked their own trauma.

A writing can be an historical document and not be a reliable historical document. Example: Josephus is called an historian: But he writes with all the integrity of a gossip columnist. Can you imagine if 1000 years from now, all they find of us is National Enquirer?
