This #merrillmonday, meet junior Samantha Carey, a Journalism major with a Rhetoric minor from Long Island, New York. Sam Carey has broad interest in journalism, and hopes to earn a master’s in education. Samantha is an intern for her hometown school district’s PR department.

Today marks one month starting as a Producer-in-Residence with WNEP, and wow…time has literally FLOWN! I feel like I’ve learned so much in such a short amount of time, and I have my skillful mentors at WNEP and TEGNA to thank. I am SUPER excited to get working on my own show.
