My dad is 72, just had open heart surgery in November, and cannot retire because there isn't another neonatologist to take over on the west coast of Puerto Rico. Not a single one. I'm terrified he'll die on the job.

Normalize interviewing everyday white folks who lived during Jim Crow about their memories. Because we rarely hear from them, we mostly know the Black folks who survived this era. Who was on the other side of segregation? Real people — many of whom are still alive.
