"Never mention Population" – wrong! We *can* talk about population without racist tropes, without repeating falsehoods. *Not* talking about population in regards to #Overshoot is a bigger problem. Thank you Population Balance Nandita Bajaj and Rob Dietz resilience.org/stories/2024-0…

Almost every land animal on earth is now a human (8 billion) or a farm animal waiting for slaughter (80 billion). The pets we keep almost outnumber all of the wild animals living in nature. Healthy humans need a healthy planet. There’s nothing natural about the ecosystem that

BREAKING:  fury and disgust as mass media remain silent despite scientists confirming cataclysmic global warming of 1.7-2°C by 2030-2050 is now unavoidable even in best-case emissions scenarios 🧵

A very special herd of elephants has taken up residence in New York City! In situ until 20 Oct, the herd of 100 sculptures includes two elephants representing their African elephant kin (& both based on orphans we've rescued & rewilded)! You will find Chaimu on 9th Avenue + W

A special dust bath for a remarkable orphan baby rhino. When she's not using her stub nose to kickstart a spa session, Raha is becoming quite the adventurer: she sets the daily agenda by choosing her own path through the forest & is gradually becoming acquainted with the dung

Koala habitat is shrinking. Yes, an objective & bona fide scientific organisation would fearlessly name the major cause -population growth due to mass immigration. As well as mining, agriculture, renewable energy. But CSIRO is not a fearlessly objective scientific organisation.

67 yrs ago, Laika was the 1st animal to orbit the Earth. She died in space. Alone, frightened. Laika was a stray, stolen from the streets of Moscow, chosen for her light-coloured coat (telegenic) and docility. A victim of human hubris + fantasies of omnipotence. RIP Laika.
