The “Know More on 34” One School, One Book program was a huge success. Sandwich elementary schools teamed up with Somonauk and Plano school districts to promote reading and an “Author Study" of Peter Brown.

It’s Staff Appreciation Week – a time to celebrate and thank our teachers, staff and administrators for their dedication and commitment to our entire learning community. Thank You!

Parent teacher conferences are scheduled for Monday, November 22 (noon – 8 pm) and Tuesday, November 23 (8 am – noon). Please contact your school or teacher to set up an appointment. Both in-person and virtual conferences are available.

Congrats to SHS senior Yuki Chen for being named a commended student in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended students are recognized for their academic prowess and performance in the top 50,000 highest scorers out of 3.5 million students taking the PSAT annually.

Congrats to this years Illinois State Scholars: Kathryn Alderman, Yuki Chen, William Davis, Lauren Fifield, Evan Fraser, Braedon Landers, Emalie Mosher, Elena Ortega, Melissa Pfaff, Molly Roberts, Kaylee Swickert and Lucia Towne. Outstanding!

The 21-22 school year has ended and summertime is here. Summer vacation time can be filled with many positive activities and spending time reading a good book is one of them. Summer is a great time to relax and read some books purely for enjoyment. Happy summer break everyone!
