Recent work suggests that we should boost wetland area, regardless of connectivity, to limit NO3 pollution to waterways. Essentially, the wetland connectivity classes (map below) did not vary in their capacity to remove #nitrogen pollution. nature.com/articles/s4422…

Another #fieldlabfriday post O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs IU O’Neill Limnology Lab we had a great day sampling an urban stream and collecting our leaf littler decomposition study. Looking forward to electrifying this stream next week!

#fieldlabfriday with E443 Aquatic Habitat Analysis O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs IU O’Neill Limnology Lab is the best day of the week! We had the opportunity to electrofish Clear Creek with Indiana Department of Environmental Management While it was raining the overpass offered a nice space to work and stay dry! Thank you IDEM and students!
