I did some exciting brainstorming with a fine arts teacher today around stations & collaborative structures. Art, music, theater, & dance are some of the reasons that our students love school & I’m grateful to be partnering with this teacher to make their experience even better!

This is the courtyard at Crockett ECHS just before 1600+ students are released for lunch. In a matter of minutes I will see students eating, playing volleyball, reading books, watching videos, playing games, practicing guitar, braiding hair, & having fun together. #LoveMyJob

We got a ton of furniture donations today Crockett ECHS thanks to Green Standards!Tables, comfy chairs, a couch, & storage cabinets will help create gathering spaces for our Staff Wellness, Restorative Practices, CIS, and CARY rooms. And 150 staff got office chairs! #grateful

I loved watching Crockett ECHS students make beautiful bowls for the Austin Empty Bowl Empty Bowl Project with some of their favorite teachers & admin today after school. Thank you National Art Honor Society and Ms.Lane she/her/hers for sponsoring this meaningful event!
