the thing abt this that this wasn’t a drunk driving incident, it was a road rage incident where the person happened to be drunk. this happens every time even if the driver is sober bc drivers like him think they’re entitled to the whole road and ppl are collateral

Lots of performative outrage here. Let’s not pretend that 99% of NYP commenters don’t otherwise rage against cyclists, bike lanes, traffic calming, and safe streets. This is your average driver, actually. This is who YOU are.

It's #backtoschool! In #Paris, cars are now banished from 218 streets (up from 185) in front of and around schools. City no longer calls them « Rues aux écoles ». Now they're just « Rue aux enfants » — Children's Streets. Plan is to have 300 by 2026. 🧵 paris.fr/pages/57-nouve…

Wondering if I should take the mamachari to Landmark BGC to look for kitten dry food (the brand I buy is out of stock in Makati) 🤔 But also I don't know where to park lol

Not sure if they're pet-friendly, but Bag of Beans in Tagaytay were caring for three orange puspins who were taken from one of their other branches. They weren't allowed inside but they gave customers so much joy outside 😍 Rescue is my favorite breed

That Tagaytay resto is getting review-bombed for their elitist pet policy. I also hope this anger means more aspins and puspins get forever homes 🥹 Read through any FB pet rescue group and the breeds are almost always clamored over and adopted quickly. Rescue groups need help!

I glance at my FB from time to time and it's mostly just elder millennial boomertown. Galit sa "cancel culture", trans people, "ungrateful" children; loves "disiplina", wider roads, SUVs, "magulang mo pa rin 'yan" attitudes. Gusto ko na mag-delete lol

Ran at Car-free Ayala (after 2 rough weeks!), dropped by Green Bar to get a pastry, and saw a Chinese couple feeding the orangies with Royal Canin dry food. Goals ba itu

Met someone from UP at a student conference in Australia years ago. When we talked about our slots, I said I'd get the airfare reimbursement (around 45k in the 2000s) and he said his dad paid because they had money and it could let other students go, too 😅 Noblesse oblige

"Should EDSA be a highway?" A thought experiment: If you can't imagine EDSA-Ortigas changing into Shibuya - flip it around and imagine Shibuya looking as desolate and deserted as EDSA does outside Megamall. A few wrong choices - or right choices - separate both realities.
