Great day off learning and collaborating with lead4ward and the RLA teams from Roosevelt HS Dallas Wilmer-Hutchins HS MadisonHS BAHS Leadership with focus on authentic engagement and activites blending reading and writing. We were 50 deep!

Today, Roosevelt hosted RLA teams from Roosevelt HS Dallas, Wilmer-Hutchins HS, MadisonHS, and BAHS Leadership to learn from lead4ward. What a great day of learning with a focus on authentic learning and engagement while blending reading and writing.

I'm so proud of the DISD principals. Today, we invested in our teachers by providing lead4ward professional development. We knew this was a need. We didn't wait for anyone to give us the green light. We led! We were the pilots of our planes. BA, Madison, Spruce, Velt, Hutch!

Today I'm rooting for family! Just moved up to first! Let's go, Shelby!

Well, summer vacation from mommy duties was everything I needed. Miles is home. 😌 But here's a few pictures from an all-white bash a couple of weeks ago with some of my favorites.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a SENIOR! In true 18-year old fashion, Miles wasn't entertaining my shenanigans, but I wanted my picture. This is what I got! 😂

Mr. Sims at J.N.Ervin Elementary School is always a breath of fresh air. This is how you level up. Walked in this 3rd day of instruction and Ss are already reading and using screen to scratch. He also made genre folders for every S that shows the screen to scratch protocol and TEKS for that genre.

I woke up this morning ready to share with my colleagues from Academic Services, but my heart became heavy, shattered, by the news of the loss of a dear friend last night who had not too long ago joined the Dallas Police Dept. RIP Darron! 💔

Today I said goodbye to my dear friend. The outpouring of love for him, the lives he influenced, I am moved. May you rest in peace with our Lord and Savior, Darron. Well done. 🤍
