Labour’s partial ban on arms sales to Israel still means British-made weapons are committing atrocities in Gaza — nothing short of a full arms embargo is acceptable. tribunemag.co.uk/2024/09/starme…

The One O'Clock news presenter describes it as the occupied West Bank, but the BBCs Diplomatic Correspondent in Jerusalem (which part?) doesn't Either he doesn't know the West Bank is occupied (seems unlikely), or for whatever reason he's deliberately not describing it as such.

Skys military analyst Sean Bell: "The one thing the military is very good at is doing professional investigations" Bell retired from the RAF as an Air Vice-Marshal so he'd know all about e.g the investigation into the Mull of Kintyre Chinook crash in 1994. He knows he's lying.

Thomas Evans ♿ 🇬🇧 @Renewal2030 A wealth tax targeted at the super rich could raise £bns But what did the Tories do during their 14yrs? They took £56/mth from the benefits of someone with spina bifida, putting her through years of "sheer hell" (her words) whilst voting against the rich paying a bit more tax

Private finance *much* more costly than public investment. Private finance will expect a return of 3-5% >cost of public investment (gap even more if state used taxes/ Bank of England). Households will pay dearly to fund those high returns. I wish Government was open about this.
