We had a wonderful time celebrating our Learning to Lead year 5 & 6 students from Fair Furlong last week. They have had a fantastic year building their confidence and self-worth with our wonderful partners this term, thank you to everyone involved!🌟

Our Learning to Lead students from Merchants' Academy had an amazing time canoeing in Bristol last week. It is a great opportunity to build confidence and team building skills. It is also a really fun day out. Thank you Adventurous Activity Company!

As we wrap up our Learning to Lead programme we want to thank our fantastic partners Boston Tea Party Cafes for their amazing hospitality and support this year. Their continuing support helps us to deliver high quality programmes to our students across south Bristol and wider region.

What an amazing way to complete our YR6 programme with the incredible @RNEngagment_RA The students benefitted enormously from learning the importance of communication, paired work and problem solving. They were also keen to hear about the role of the Navy and the array of jobs🌟

Over the last few weeks, our Unlocking Potential groups rounded out their programme with an Outdoors Day at Groundwork South WoE They worked on their communication in groups as well as one to one (and managed to sneak in time for toasted marshmallows)! What an amazing bunch they are 🌟

Our last Hareclive YR5 visit to Clifton Suspension Bridge was full of learning! Including hearing remarkable stories, helping the bridge archivist investigate old postcards, discovering how the bridge is so strong, writing our own postcards & making badges as souvenirs of the day. 🌟

Over the last month our Discover Maths cohorts all ended their programmes with a bit of mathematical magic at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London They learned about how scaling is an important part of prop & set design (especially when you need to make a muggle actor look like a giant)! 🌟

How wonderful to be able to support our Learning To Lead year 6's on their transition days to Merchants' Academy . Over the three days their confidence grew as they discovered more about life in a secondary school. We are so proud of you all! 🌟 With Hareclive E-ACT & Fair Furlong.

This week our Future Quest and Insights into Apprenticeship cohorts have been in London. We've had a great time with them on boat tours, looking round central London and in Parliament. Thanks to the students and staff for making the days so much fun. #empoweringyoungpeople

Our final activity with Learning To Lead was a fantastic workshop with Royal Navy Engagement. Year 7 students at Merchants' Academy worked brilliantly on vital skills - team work, communication, problem solving and resilience to build communication towers. Super stars!

Last week we celebrated our Learning to Lead students as they finished their programmes with us. We are so proud of them and all they have achieved. The programme aims to help children build confidence, self-worth and leadership skills and they have all done amazingly well. 🌟
